A warm welcome to our new apprentices

31 August

Cerys started her Business Admin Apprenticeship (level 3) a few weeks ago. She is working in the sales team, preparing quotations, order acknowledgements and arranging shipments to customers amongst other tasks. Nathan started his Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship today. He will be working on FloSet and other valve set assemblies, quality control and customer shipments. By way of introduction, here is what they would like you to know about themselves.

“My name is Cerys, I’m 18 years old. I have recently finished a level 3 business BTEC, and now want to progress through applying the knowledge learnt to an existing business. I am looking to advance within the industry to gain further qualifications as well as experience simultaneously. I chose to do my apprenticeship with FloControl as they are a part of an industry that I am not very familiar with. This provides me with many learning opportunities which will contribute to furthering my career. I also wish to play my part in creating a cleaner environment, which FloControl allows me to do through their methods of reducing the carbon footprints of buildings.”

“I am Nathan, 20 years old. The first 2 years of my professional training I’ve spent at UTC College (Engineering and Construction), where I earned a distinction in Machining Techniques. I then progressed my education with a Public Services Level 2 course at Burnley College. That made me realise that I want to develop a career in an engineering business. The apprenticeship at FloControl is a good opportunity to build on my theoretical knowledge and to learn practical skills. I am passionate about team work and customer service, a good fit with FloControl’s values and way of working.”

Please join us in welcoming the apprentices!
