FloControl was established in 2009 to supply hydronic valve and pipeline products, which provide superior indoor climate whilst reducing the capital, installation, commissioning and running cost of heating and cooling systems as well as a building’s carbon footprint.

We are a mechanical engineering business, that was founded by 2 industry veterans who are passionate about the environment and technology that helps reducing energy consumption in buildings. We buy the most advanced products from leading global valve manufacturers and use our local applicational knowledge to offer Building Services Consultants, Contractors, OEMs and Distributors bespoke and off-the-shelf solutions for the most iconic new builds and refurbishments in Britain. In our Burnley facility we prefabricate these solution and supply those directly to project building sites or OEMs (air conditioning manufacturers) all over the UK. We were one of the first in the UK promoting pressure independent control and prefabrication of valve assemblies and consequently have achieved a leading market position in our space.

To support further growth, we are looking for a workshop assembler who can assemble components into valve sets using detailed drawings and product descriptions. The role will include taking valve sets through the entire assembly process from picking of the component for assembly, this may include the cutting of pipe and soldering of fittings, assembling the components as shown, testing the finished valve set to ensure no leaks and packing ready for dispatch to the customer.

  • Picking for assembly
  • Valve assembly
  • Testing assembled valve sets
  • Cutting copper pipe
  • Soldering ocopper pipe
  • Picking and packing for customer orders
  • Preparing projects for shipping
  • Loading trucks
  • Receiving incoming deliveries and receipting them
  • Putting stock into correct locations
  • Receipting incoming deliveries

The ideal candidate has experience of working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and is familiar with all usual warehouse duties as well as H&S. The ideal candidate is in the possession of an up to date FLT license. We are looking for a responsible individual, eager to immerse her/himself into the world of valve assemblies and to contribute and promote a safe and productive work environment.
