ANDREW PENDER MANAGING DIRECTOR FLOCONTROL

4 July

12.5 years ago, Dennis Taylor founded FloControl together with his business partner Bjarne Ibsen, the founder and owner of FlowCon ApS [Denmark], a global leader in pressure independent control of hydronic systems, and the inventor of the Pressure Independent Control Valve. The aim of the company was to accelerate the adoption of energy-saving valves in building services in the UK, an objective that long has been achieved under Dennis’ leadership.

Since its inception, FloControl has grown into the UK market leader for assembled valve sets for terminal units, marketed under the brand of FloSet®, supplying numerous building services projects, large and small, every year. The product ranges have been extended to cover Smart Energy Valves, General and Domestic Valves, to be able to offer full packages to new builds and refurbishments.

Andrew, who joined FloControl in 2017 in the role of National Sales Manager, has been instrumental in driving development and growth.

When Dennis recently turned 70, it was time to address his succession. Not only for the day-to-day management, which Andrew had taken on already, but also for the mid to long term strategic direction, to take FloControl to the next level of development, innovation and growth, supplying our customers with solutions that will help them to reduce the use of energy in their projects and to deliver on the net zero goals. A natural progression for Andrew. Congratulations Andy, we are very proud of you!

Going forward, Dennis will do what he loves most – he will work on the technical direction for FloControl and will support our customers with his unique technical knowledge, whether it is in the format of our CIBSE-accredited CPDs or on projects or product selections. A well-deserved change of role, enabling Dennis to enjoy a little more freedom outside of FloControl.

We wish both gentlemen every success in their new roles.
