STEP Files Available for Download

6 September

On many products on our website, we have had downloadable Revit files available for some time now. Revit files are important for building design, architectural planning and structural accuracy and you can find these on some of our valves. They are indicated in the download list by a green R.

We’re happy to announce you can now download STEP files for many more products across our range.

What are STEP files?

Firstly, the Revit software is capable of supporting STEP files so if you’re already an accomplished Revit user, you don’t need to migrate to any new software.

STEP stands for Standard for the Exchange of Product Data, an ISO standard exchange format, which produces 3D models recognisable by SolidWorks, IMSI, TurboCad, Autodesk Fusion 360 and as of last year, Revit. This versatile 3D modelling documentation allows for increased collaboration across multiple different systems and software.

How do I download them?

If a product has a STEP file available to download, you will find it in the right hand side of the page, with other product downloads. For example, on our GreEQ PICV page, you can see a selection of downloads on the right-hand side.

Along with our product-focused literature, including the data sheet for all the technical information, and the general instructions for the range. You then have the options to download the Revit file for the product, indicated by the Green R, and then the 3D STEP downloads for the GreEQ.0 and GreEQ.1 products. If you are a specifier, there is also the option to add the product to your specification on NBS.

Let us know!

We’re committed to making things as accessible as possible for all walks of the industry so if there is a product you would like to see with a STEP download, let us know and we’ll work with our 3D team at FlowCon to see if we can get one generated! We’ll keep looking at ways to improve and build our BIM library and 3D models on site for use across the nation.
