Creating 260,000 sq ft of offices and 40,000 sq ft of retail in historic Spitalfields. The London Fruit and Wool Exchange is one of the largest developments in London and was completed on time in April 2018.
The scheme will deliver 320,000 sq ft of new grade A space including 260,000 sq ft of office and 40,000 sq ft of retail, restaurant, café, SME and community space. FloControl was selected to deliver Fan Coil Unit Valve Sets in accordance with ME schedules, working with 2 different ME contractors on different parts of the building simultaneously to tight time lines.
FloControl supplied according to schedule over 1500 valve sets, mainly for Fan Coil Units, with the innovative 3-in-1 FlowCon Green.0/Green.1 PICVs and Mini-Bypass, as well as ABV 4-Port valve sets, which include the FlowCon E-Just Automatic Balancing Valve, for EOL applications, avoiding dead leg and providing low flow pump protection. Besides, larger valve sets with the FlowCon Green.2 PICV, accommodating flow rates up to 1.29l/s, as well as FlowCon SM.3 PICVs (flow rates 1.48-9.89l/s) were supplied for Air Handling Units and plant room applications.
